Oh, I absolutely LOVE physical movement. I don't play much any more, but in my 30s I used to play basketball a lot. On Friday mornings before school, on Sundays with another gang in a different high school gym, random pick up game with teens after school or at the park...
The one common thing?
No thinking. Just totally present, always in the moment. Loved how quiet my mind became in those moments. Inhabited my body fully, felt strong, alive. It was amazing!
Hardly ever now...I'd down to play on a proper gym floor indoors, but now that I'm no longer teaching that's not an option. Outside in Florida on concrete is just asking for days worth of joint pain 😂
